Shannon Major holds a BS in Fashion Merchandising from Northern Arizona University. She spent several years working in retail management, specializing in creating bold visual displays and consumer experiences. Ready to learn the other side of the fashion industry, she went back to school to work on an MFA in Fashion Design from the Academy of Art University. Shannon has more than 10 years of experience sewing and designing for private clients. She has created everything from custom bridal to burlesque, tailoring red carpet looks, and sentimental pieces for music legends. In addition to teaching, Shannon loves fashion show production and is currently designing undergarments for transgender youth.
