Wheat Ridge High School Needs your Vote In Vans Custom Culture Contest

Out of 2,000 entries, Wheat Ridge High School was voted into the top 50 by Vans staff in the Vans Custom Culture Contest. The school is among ten in the Southwest Region and needs your help in becoming a finalist. Voting closes May 12 and takes place online at vans.com.

The five schools as determined by online voting will travel to New York City for an all expenses paid three day trip, and the grand prize winner will receive a $50,000 donation to their art program. Four runners up will each receive $4,000 prizes for their programs.

The Vans Custom Culture Contest invites students from high schools nationwide to custom design Vans shoes. Participating schools receive four pairs of shoes for individual students or groups to transform into custom creations. Final submissions must contain a pair that aligns with the themes of art, music, action sports and local flavor.

Wheat Ridge High School is the only Colorado school to make it into the semi-finals. The school has previously placed within the top 50 for this contest but has never won the public vote to make it into the finals. This year, they strive to become prizewinners and can only do it with your vote! Check out their ad campaign video.
