LAKEWOOD, Colo. – Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design (RMCAD) is hitting a high note for the next generation of young artists with its newest degree in Music Production.
The Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Production provides students with the necessary skills to join the growing local and national sound recording industries with confidence. Graduates of the program will enter the workforce with talents such as music theory & composition, audio engineering, sound design, digital production and much more. This program is tuned for the individual who strives to connect with others through the power of music. Careers in Music Production continue to increase by 8% over the period from 2018-2028 according to bls.gov. This is faster than the average of all occupations nationally, and due to the dynamic and entrepreneurial skill set graduates are bringing to the industry. RMCAD is honored to provide an important educational avenue to aspiring professionals looking to capitalize on the industry’s growth.
Chair of Music Production, Sean Peuquet, says that the degree empowers students to blend their creative and technical talents in pursuit of new forms of sonic expression. “There’s never a dull day with a career in music,” Peuquet said. “There are so many opportunities, as new technologies and creative possibilities emerge, to craft your unique voice and find new ways to share it.”
