RMCAD Announces 50 percent discount to educators for Master’s Program

Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design (RMCAD) is offering a scholarship tuition grant in an effort to help further develop educator’s careers and inspire the next generation of K-12 students during a time that has proven to be pivotal for both educators and students. The scholarship is being offered to future students of the Online Education Media Design + Technology (EMDT) Master of Arts program.

As a student in the Online EMDT Program, you’ll be designing technology-enhanced teaching strategies, developing intriguing and effective instructional media tools, and analyzing educational and technological trends to incorporate into your digital portfolio and eventually to put into practice when you graduate. The program was designed to equip students virtually, which is consistent with the current educational environment that so many are faced with nowadays.

This 50% off tuition scholarship is available to future students of the EMDT program if they meet the following requirements upon admissions application:

  • An educator within any school district nationally.
  • Associated (proof of employment) with any K-12 educational organization (district) nationally (non-educator).
  • Must provide proof of education employment ie: teachers licensure, pay stub, a statement supporting their association with a K-12 educational organization for which they’re employed.

When asked about how educators can benefit from this program, Kristin Kipp, chair of Education at RMCAD stated, “Teachers who complete the EMDT program will walk away with an in-depth understanding of how to use technology skillfully to support teaching and learning. The courses are immensely practical, focusing on how to apply the theories and research immediately in the classroom. Teachers will learn a lot about technology integration, but they will also have fun exploring different ways to use technology to support students.”

The EMDT program focuses on how to skillfully use technology to support teaching and learning, an invaluable tool especially considering the direction that the education industry has had to shift toward in the COVID-19 world. Educators and RMCAD Alumni not only benefit from this 50 percent off tuition scholarship, but will be able to utilize a lifetime of free courses, professional development opportunities, and access Career + Alumni Services at the college.
