Whether you are a new student or have been at RMCAD for a while, the summer can be busy and sometimes stressful, whether due to personal, professional or educational commitments. Luckily, RMCAD hosts events throughout the summer to help reduce that feeling of stress with celebrations and fun low-pressure activities. Mark your calendars and register for these events and more.
June 23, 2024 – Pride Parade
Looking to show your pride or support others in the LGBTQ+ community? Join us at the Denver Pride Parade on Sunday, June 23, 2024 from 8 a.m to 1 p.m. MST. The parade will take place from Cheesman Park to the Denver Civic Center! Keep an eye out for RMCAD’s Wandering Pixel in the parade.
June 28 / August 23, 2024 – Maker’s Space Event – Paint Pour
Have you ever wanted to try paint pouring but did not have all of the supplies? On the last Friday of every term from 12 p.m to 6 p.m. MST, a maker’s space event will be held by the Student Learning Center to celebrate the completion of a term. This semester, the activity is paint pouring, so we recommend wearing clothing you don’t mind getting messy.
July 20, 2024 – Summer Series: A Day at Chatfield Park
De-stress before Summer B Midterms and spend a day at Chatfield Park on Saturday, July 20, 2024 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. MST. Spend time with friends swimming at the beach, using one of the rental paddle boards, or wandering to sketch and paint the scenery. There will be a picnic provided for lunch, however you will have to bring your own towel, swimsuit, and art supplies.

August 5, 2024 – Remote Stretch: Virtual Yoga Class
Need to unwind after a long day? Join us for a remote yoga and meditation class on Monday, August 5, 2024 from 5 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. MST led by a practitioner at LODO Chair Massage. All that is required is a laptop with internet access and a comfortable seat for the calming session!

August 10, 2024 – Summer Series: Afternoon At The Aquarium
Take a break from classwork at the Aquarium in Downtown Denver on Saturday, August 10, 2024 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. MST! Draw and paint the aquatic animals with friends, or just simply take in the beauty of underwater life.
