(LAKEWOOD, CO) – Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design (RMCAD) announces its 2023/2024 Visiting Artist, Scholar, Designer (VASD) Program series, featuring free, public artist talks by Alex Da Corte (10/17/2023), Deanna Marsigliese (11/07/2023), Catherine Haggarty (02/06/2024), and Esteban Cabeza de Baca (03/19/2024). Artists Catherine Haggarty and Esteban Cabeza de Baca will also have concurrent solo exhibitions of their work in the college’s Philip J. Steele Gallery (02/06/2024 – 03/22/2024).
About the Series
This year’s VASD Program series features four accomplished artists working in diverse creative fields. Their work explores a rich variety of themes, including contemporary culture, internal and external landscapes, the power of storytelling, and the meaning of image-making. Their artist talks will engage some of the most pressing topics in today’s creative discourse.
About the Artist Talks
All artist talks begin at 5:30 pm MT (doors open at 5:00 pm MT) and are free and open to the public. They can be viewed via livestream and in-person in the Mary Harris Auditorium on RMCAD’s campus.
