This info session is an introductory workshop for students considering whether graduate school might be a good next step after graduation from RCMAD. This workshop will offer a helpful overview of how to begin researching academic requirements for industry jobs, how to determine what MFAs or MAs might be a good fit, how to budget time for preparing an application and portfolio, and etiquette for connecting with potential faculty mentors.
This workshop will be helpful for any students asking themselves, “What’s next?” after RMCAD. We’ll provide pragmatic steps to help students determine if graduate school might be right for them and how to begin this process. We’ll have a lively faculty panel Q&A so that faculty who completed different Masters degrees can speak to this experience first hand and how their degrees impacted their career opportunities. Students will leave with material that will help them request faculty recommendations, communicate with potential mentors at MFA/MA programs, and determine which programs are right for them.
