In this course students will identify and thoroughly research a single problem, and solve various social, economic, and cultural issues that will be planned in a professional paper in preparation for the final project. Emphasis is placed on research, academic writing, problem-solving, exploration of ideas, and the development of innovative solutions. Prerequisites: DSI 5540 Creative Problem Solving, DSI 5550 Innovation + Prototyping, DSI 5710 Design Research Methods, DSI 5720 Critical Methods in Art + Design, and DSI 5730 Design for Change
